Long-time staff writer William Werwath is a highly accomplished composer with over 16 years at VideoHelper.
Throughout his career, William has garnered numerous awards and been featured in countless TV shows, trailers and promos. Born and raised in the state of Maine, William's journey in music took shape at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, where he studied music production and engineering, music synthesis and the saxophone (Why saxophone, and not something useful like piano or violin you might ask? Good question.) His formal education laid the foundation for his diverse and eclectic musical style, drawing inspiration from a wide range of influences.
Among his musical heroes are the legendary John Williams, the experimental sounds of Nine Inch Nails, the frenetic breakbeats of the Chemical Brothers, the anthemic melodies of U2, and the minimalist compositions of Philip Glass. What sets William apart is not only his strong ability to tap into emotion and feeling through his music, but also his versatility across genres.
From the rhythmic beats of hip-hop and dance, to larger-than-life dramatic orchestral hybrid pieces, and even to the gritty sounds of rock and country music, he continues to leave an indelible mark on the ever-evolving landscape of music.
